01Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using Novofun you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that age is higher, and that you have read and accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, stop using the platform.

02What Novofun is

Novofun is a tool for designing an original, fictional AI character and generating images and video of that character. You describe the character, Novofun renders an Identity for them, and every later generation is matched against that Identity so the same person appears each time.

Novofun does not offer conversation or chat with characters. The service is image and video generation only.

03No real people, and no deepfakes

This is the rule that matters most on Novofun, and it is the main way the platform differs from other AI generation tools. Novofun exists to create people who do not exist. It is not a tool for generating images of anyone real.

You may not:

• Upload a photograph or likeness of any real person — including yourself, a partner, a friend, a public figure or a performer.
• Use the name, face, stage name or other identifying likeness of a real, identifiable person in a prompt.
• Attempt to steer a generation toward resembling a specific real person by description, by reference image, or by any other means.
• Use Novofun to produce material intended to be mistaken for a real person, whether or not that person is named.

Reference images you upload are limited to material with no people in them — objects, clothing, settings, lighting and similar. Every upload is screened automatically before it is accepted, and an upload in which a face or a person is detected is rejected. An upload that cannot be checked is also rejected, because an image we could not verify is not a cleared image.

Prompts are screened as well. A prompt that appears to name a real person is blocked. These checks are automated and imperfect in both directions: they will sometimes block something harmless, and they are not a guarantee that a violation slips past unnoticed. Attempting to work around them is itself a breach of these terms.

Every character on Novofun is fictional. Any resemblance to a real person is unintended and is not endorsed by us.

04Prohibited content

You may not create, upload, request or attempt to generate content that:

• Depicts, or appears to depict, anyone under 18. This is absolute and applies to fictional characters as well.
• Depicts non-consensual acts, coercion, or sexual violence.
• Depicts extreme violence, gore, mutilation or material created to disgust.
• Promotes illegal activity, weapons or drugs.
• Infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
• Promotes hate, harassment or discrimination against any group or individual.

Breaking these rules leads to removal of the content and suspension or permanent termination of your account. Where the law requires it, we report violations to the relevant authorities.

05Age

Novofun is for adults. You must be 18 or older to hold an account. Misrepresenting your age is grounds for immediate suspension, and we may terminate any account we believe belongs to a minor.

06Moderation

Prompts and uploads are screened automatically, and generations may additionally be reviewed by staff where a screening result, a report or an investigation calls for it. Review is limited to what is needed to decide whether the content complies with these terms.

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account or terminate it, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

07What you upload

You keep ownership of the reference material you upload. By uploading it you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, that it contains no people, and that it infringes nobody's rights.

You are responsible for what you upload, and you agree to cover us against claims arising from material you had no right to use.

08What you generate

You own the images and video you generate on Novofun, including for commercial use, as long as the content and its use comply with these terms.

To run the service we need a limited licence to store your content, process it, and show it back to you — including passing it to the generation and moderation providers listed in our Privacy Policy. Your characters, their Identities and your private generations stay private to your account. Nothing is published to the public feed unless you choose to publish it, and publishing grants us a licence to display that item on the platform for as long as it stays published.

You may not use generated content for defamation, fraud, harassment, or to violate anyone's rights.

09Credits, payment and refunds

Novofun runs on credits. There is no subscription: you buy credits in one-off packs, they never expire, and they are spent as you generate. Prices and the credit cost of each action are shown in the app before you commit to them.

All sales of credits are final. Credits are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds, exchanges or cash value for credits, whether unused, partially used or fully used. This applies regardless of how long ago the purchase was made.

Credits are a prepaid entitlement to use the service. They are not money, not a stored-value instrument, and cannot be transferred, sold or redeemed for cash.

If a generation fails for a technical reason on our side, the credits for it are returned to your balance automatically. If that does not happen, contact support and we will correct the balance. That is a correction, not a refund of a purchase.

Reversing a payment through your bank or card issuer after using the service is grounds for immediate suspension of your account and forfeiture of any remaining credits.

10The public feed

You can keep everything you make private. If you choose to publish a character or a generation to the feed, other users can see it, and you grant us a licence to display and promote it on the platform. You can unpublish at any time, though copies others have already downloaded are beyond our reach.

11Availability and disclaimers

Novofun is provided as it is. Generation depends on third-party infrastructure and models, and we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, that any particular generation will succeed, or that a result will match what you had in mind.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12Ending your access

You can stop using Novofun at any time and ask us to close your account by writing to support@novofun.com. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these terms, for suspected fraud, or where the law requires it. Unused credits are not refunded on termination.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. When a change is significant we will say so on the platform or by email. Continuing to use Novofun after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, and disputes will be resolved there. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of the country where you live.
